The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Alchemist is a book about a young boy Santiago who is a man of his dreams. He wanted to become a traveler that lead him to becoming a Shephard. However, the Universe has something else planned for him as his destiny because of his stubborn and willful heart. On the basis of his recurring dreams, Santiago sets off his risky journey towards his destiny, his dream, his treasure and finds the Alchemist along the way to get some help.

When I picked up this book, the cover seemed bright and subtle, which is my favorite combination. As I read the book, I saw that the book is very deep and has blended all the things I have learned from non-fiction into a fictitious fable.

It is spiritual, practical and magical. It is written in a mesmerizing manner. The end of the book seemed like the end of the world to me. Big lessons have been comprised into easy words and language. It is the tale of dreams, love, magic and destiny.

I wouldn’t suggest it to the practical readers as a read but I would suggest it to them too, for a new perception towards life. It made me believe that magic happens to those who believe in it. The title did go with the book in the and it pushed me further to pursue my dreams.

In the end, I suggest it has a must-read for experiencing magic.
